Apparently Toronto hospitality workers are reorganizing under the banner of the (mainly Quebec based) CSN union. Over the past dozen years, Toronto hotel workers have engaged in a number of internal union struggles. In 2004 the Workers Solidarity Alliance (WSA) reported on one such struggle in their newsletter “Workers Solidarity” (https://libcom.org/article/workers-solidarity-no-2-june-august-2004)
According to the THEU websipage:
“The Toronto Hospitality Employees Union was born out of the need to create a strong union controlled entirely by us, the hospitality workers of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).”
